MY DESIGN JOURNEY

Marissa embarked on her home design journey in 2022 after completing an interior design program with Liberty Interior Design. She had several years of home renovations under her belt before finally turning to the profession and she hasn’t looked back since!

Prior to offering her services publicly, Marissa and her spouse had flipped two houses, undertaking a significant amount of the work themselves. These experiences shaped her understanding of project management, product sourcing, navigating trades relationships and gave her the confidence to seamlessly mix design styles. Now, she sees potential in every space she enters.

Marissa’s personal taste has a flair for bold, authentic mixes of modern and vintage, and she dabbles with integrating colour as much as she can. She is excited to work closely with her clients to bring forward their unique personalities in their homes. It is critical to her as a decorator that clients feel represented in their space and close the design chapter with a sense of belonging in their home.

When Marissa is not scheming up design plans for her clients, she can typically be found at the thrift store, home with a murder mystery novel or tackling a DIY project.
